My name is Gabriele Battaglia,

- Chén Yīng - is my Chinese name.

I'm a journalist and I am studying pǔtōnghuà (普通话), the official Chinese language, called mandarin in the Western world.

This site actually exists to keep together my two passions: journalism and China.

It is composed in two sections, one being written - words - and the other in pictures - pics.

News, opinions, pictures and reviews are seen as a way of defining the relationship between the Eastern and Western world's which, according to many opinions, will give rise to the economical balance of power changing from the West to China in this century.

Our homeland facts are only expressed in their global sense; we show no narrow views here.

Eastern friends, maybe one day I'll be able to make the Chinese version of the website; let me study a little further :-)
